KUALA LUMPUR:<\/strong> Mahkamah Tinggi hari ini memerintahkan bekas Perdana Menteri, Najib Razak membayar lebih AS$1.3 bilion kepada SRC International Sdn Bhd selepas didapati bertanggungjawab terhadap kerugian syarikat itu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Keputusan tersebut dibuat selepas mahkamah membenarkan saman sivil difailkan oleh SRC International Sdn Bhdberhubung penyalahgunaan dana syarikat berkenaan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hakim memutuskan jumlah yang perlu dibayar merangkumi kira-kira AS$1.18 bilion kerugian utama serta tambahan AS$120 juta yang dikaitkan dengan dana yang disalurkan ke akaun peribadi defendan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mahkamah turut mendapati berlaku pelanggaran tanggungjawab fidusiari serta salah laku dalam jawatan awam, termasuk penyalahgunaan kedudukan yang membolehkan aliran dana syarikat diseleweng untuk kepentingan peribadi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dalam penghakiman itu, mahkamah juga menegaskan bahawa kegagalan mengawal selia dan memantau pengurusan dana telah menyumbang kepada kerugian besar yang ditanggung syarikat berkenaan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bagaimanapun, pihak defendan dibenarkan memfailkan permohonan penangguhan pelaksanaan keputusan sementara menunggu proses rayuan dalam tempoh yang ditetapkan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
